What is OBELIX about?
The OBELIX project sets out to be the first and
premier e-business ontology project in the world. OBELIX focuses on researching
and providing smart scaleable integration and interoperability capabilities needed
in the coming e-business stage of dynamic value constellations,
characterised by much more complex products and services, supply chains and
value networks, and associated electronic market transactions. To this end, it
will develop the OBELIX ontology tool suite for smart collaborative e-business.

What are results of OBELIX?
OBELIX develops a generic ontology server, an ontology
library for smart collaborative e-business, and several
ontology-based application tools, tested and validated by
demonstrators and applications in three different European

Who are participants?
The consortium members are seven
industrial and research organizations from Spain, Netherlands
Germany and Norway.
OBELIX brings together expertise in:
- Ontologies and semantic web
ontologies
- Development of novel business
processes for e-Business solutions
- Application expertise from service
and conflict intensive areas of customised commercial
offerings (Digital Music, Energy Trading and Servicing,
Online Design of Events)
- Expertise in the development of
e-Business solutions and in the development of e-Business
generic building blocks.
